Future Bulldogs to compete in NCA All Star Game
SEWARD, Neb. – Three incoming Bulldogs will be competing in the 36th Annual Nebraska Coaches Association Girls Basketball All Star Game on Monday, July 20. Shelby Pollman, a guard/forward from Fairbury will be a member of the blue team. Battling their future teammate, forwards Maddie Egr from Yutan and Quinn Wragge from Crofton will be on the opposing red team. The game will take place at Lincoln North Star High School in Lincoln, Neb. at 6 p.m.
Egr, a 6-0 forward, averaged 21.6 points per game. “Maddie can really score,” Bulldog head coach Drew Olson said. “She is a great athlete that has incredible potential for the next level. She is tough and very competitive.” Egr was chosen to be on the Class C-2 All-Nebraska First Team for both the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star.
Pollman, a 6-0 guard/forward, averaged 17.1 points per game during her senior year. Pollman was selected to the Class C-1 All-State Team for the Lincoln Journal Star. “Shelby is a nice player that really sees the game well. She is a tremendous passer and shooter and is a great offensive player,” Coach Drew Olson stated about Pollman.
Wragge, a 6-0 forward, averaged 11.4 points per contest. “Quinn is one of the best players in the state with her all-around game,” Coach Drew Olson commented. “She can defend multiple positions. Offensively, she finds ways to score with her size, athleticism and understanding of the game.” Wragge was also selected to the Class C-2 All-Nebraska First Team for the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star.
The Concordia Bulldogs, the NAIA Division II national runner-ups, will open their season November 6 against Mayville State University at home during the Cattle Classic.
