The 2011 Cattle Classic Tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday at Concordia University. This year’s tournament will feature four women’s games. Doane College, William Penn University and Bethel College (Kan.) will join Concordia in this year’s tournament field.
The Cattle Classic is sponsored by the Cattle National Bank and Blue Valley Food Pantry. Admission to the games is as follows; Adults – six cans of food or $6 per game or 10 cans of food or $10 for a weekend pass; Students – three cans of food or $2 per game or six cans of food or $6 for a weekend pass.
Doane College and Bethel College open the tournament on Friday evening starting at 6 p.m. The host Bulldogs will then take on William Penn at 8 p.m. The Concordia Sports Network will cover both Friday evening games with live audio and video webcasts. Lucas Mohrman will call the action for both contests.
On Saturday, Doane College and William Penn play at 2 p.m. Bethel College and Concordia play in the final game of the tournament with tip scheduled for 4 p.m. Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be no webcasts for the Saturday contests.
Following the 4 p.m. game on Saturday, the All-Classic Team will be announced.
