Bulldogs selected third in GPAC women's basketball poll

Concordia University was selected third in the GPAC preseason women’s basketball poll which was released on Monday.  The Bulldogs received 87 points and were selected behind Northwestern and Morningside in the poll. 

Northwestern received 11 first place votes and totaled 121 points.  The Red Raiders won the NAIA Championship and finished with a 31-5 record last year.  Morningside, which won the 2009 championship, was tabbed second with 108 points.  Sioux Falls (86) and Hastings College (83) were selected behind Concordia in fourth and fifth.  Hastings College received the final first place vote.

Morningside, Northwestern, Concordia, Hastings and Briar Cliff advanced to the NAIA National Tournament last season.  The Bulldogs finished 21-11 overall with an 11-7 record in conference play in 2009-10.
