Sioux Falls overpowers Concordia in 3-0 sweep

Sioux Falls swept Concordia 3-0 in GPAC volleyball action on Saturday afternoon in Seward.  Scores of the match were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-21.  The Cougars improved to 18-14 overall and 6-4 in the GPAC with the win.  Concordia dropped its second straight match to fall to 11-14 overall and 1-9 in the GPAC. 

Concordia hit just .138 in the match compared to .248 for the visiting Cougars.  USF was led by Amber Nieuwsma’s eight kills.  Nieuwsma also added 12 set assists and seven digs.  Kaprice Glover put down seven kills, while Danielle Roers and Sarah Kohler chipped in with six kills apiece.  Rachel Heeney had a match-high 15 digs, and Samantha Haffke handed out 16 assists for Sioux Falls. 

Sloan Brandon had a match-high nine kills to lead the way for Concordia.  Brandon also added 10 digs in the match.  Amanda Kisker and Chelsea Vaudt added eight and seven kills, respectively, for the Bulldogs.  Nico Ethofer had a team-high 11 digs, and Alexa Hopping had 18 set assists for Concordia.
