
2026 Concordia University, Nebraska Volleyball Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The countdown to the 2026 season is on for Concordia University, Nebraska Volleyball. The varsity and junior varsity schedules for this fall officially went live on the Concordia Athletics website in mid-May. The ’26 varsity slate features 28 total matches, including 11 at home. In kicking off the new campaign, the Bulldogs will host York University on Aug. 18 as part of the the week prior to the start of on-campus classes.
Head Coach Ben Boldt’s program will reconvene following a historic 2025 season that saw Concordia reach the NAIA National Semifinals for the first time in school history. The Bulldogs finished at 28-4 overall (15-1 GPAC). The returning All-GPAC honorees include Ava Greene (first team), Emma Brueggemann (second team; freshman of the year) and Shandy Faalii (honorable mention). Concordia is tasked with replacing All-Americans Ashley Keck and Ella Waters and their fellow senior classmates.
Following the home matchup with York, the Bulldogs will play at three nonconference events: the Siouxland Invite (Aug. 21-22), the Power Quad (Aug. 28-29) and the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic (Sept. 4-5). This year’s Power Quad will be hosted by Concordia and will again feature Columbia College (Mo.), Indiana Wesleyan University and MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.). Indiana Wesleyan has won each of the past three NAIA national championships. As of May 20, opponents for the other weekend events were to be announced, but nationally ranked opponents are expected to be among the challengers.
The 16-match GPAC regular season schedule will get underway with a visit from rival Midland to Friedrich Arena on Sept. 9. As usual, the Bulldogs will play the following GPAC opponents twice: College of Saint Mary, Doane, Hastings, Midland and Mount Marty. Concordia will welcome Hastings to Seward for homecoming on Sept. 19. The regular season will end with a home matchup versus Doane in early November.
Dates for the 2026 GPAC tournament are Nov. 7 for the quarterfinals, Nov. 11 for the semifinals and Nov. 14 for the championship match. The Bulldogs have reached the GPAC Championship Match in five consecutive seasons. The postseason will continue with the NAIA Opening Round on Nov. 21 followed by NAIA Championship play at the final site in Sioux City, Iowa, Dec. 2-8. Concordia will attempt to extend its active string of seven straight national tournament appearances.
