No. 16 Doane College sweeps past Concordia

Doane College cruised past Concordia 3-0 in GPAC volleyball on Tuesday evening in Seward.  Scores of the match were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-12. 

Ashley Axmann and Emily Max each pounded 12 kills to lead the way for a balanced Doane attack.  Terra Andreasen added nine kills, while Susan Rollman added six for the Tigers.  Nicole Skolnick had a match-high 16 digs, and Heather Davison handed out 42 set assists on the night. 

Amanda Kisker had a match-high 13 kills to lead the way for Concordia in a losing effort.  Sloan Brandon chipped in with seven kills.  Alexa Hopping and Kaylie Mellema each had 11 set assists, and Nico Ethofer had a team-high eight digs for the Bulldogs. 

Concordia hosts York College on Wednesday evening.  The game is scheduled for 7 pm at the Health, Human Performance and Athletic Center.
