Keck earns second straight GPAC Attacker of the Week award

SEWARD, Neb. – The first two GPAC Attacker of the Week awards of the 2025 season have both gone to Concordia University, Nebraska Volleyball All-American Ashley Keck. The latest honor for the Kearney, Neb., native was announced on Tuesday (Sept. 2) by the league office and was earned based on her performances at the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic this past week.

During the Bulldogs’ four-match stay in Omaha, Neb., Keck led her side to wins over Ottawa University (Kan.), No. 16 Viterbo University (Wis.) and Bethel College (Kan.). For the weekend, Keck totaled a team best 51 kills (4.25 per set) while hitting .248 from the outside. She also tallied 45 digs, three blocks and two aces at the CSM Classic. The only blemish from a team perspective was a defeat that came at the hands of No. 5 Eastern Oregon University.

Keck set a new career-high with her 23 kills in the win over Bethel. A recent addition to the program’s 1,000-kill club, Keck was also named the GPAC Attacker of the Week on Aug. 26 and is the current conference leader for kills per set (4.08). On the season, Keck has totaled 106 kills (.260 hitting percentage), 104 digs, 13 blocks and five aces. Keck is beginning to close in on another milestone as her career dig total has reached 877 to go along with 1,085 career kills.

Concordia’s GPAC opener is coming up on Saturday when it will be at Mount Marty for a 3 p.m. CT varsity first serve. It will be the lone outing of the week.
