Conference struggles continue as Concordia falls at Dakota Wesleyan, 3-0

Dakota Wesleyan earned a 3-0 GPAC volleyball win over Concordia University on Friday evening in Mitchell.  Scores of the match were 25-22, 28-26 and 25-22.  The Tigers moved to 8-14 overall and 3-5 in GPAC play with the win.  Concordia fell to 10-12 on the year overall and 0-7 in GPAC play with the loss. 

Ashley Kley pounded nine kills and added 13 digs to lead the way for DWU.  Andrea Johnson and Kimi Lueders added six kills apiece, while Brooke Warner notched a match-high 16 digs for the Tigers.  Carina Fesenmaier handed out 26 set assists for DWU in the win. 

Chelsea Vaudt had a match-high 10 kills for Concordia.  Sloan Brandon added eight kills and 12 digs.  Nico Ethofer totaled a team-high 13 digs, and Alex Szalawiga added 11 digs.  Alexa Hopping and Kaylie Mellema each had 16 set assists for the Bulldogs. 

Concordia travels to Mount Marty College on Saturday.
