Concordia picked to finish 10th in GPAC preseason poll

The Great Plains Athletic Conference released the 2011 volleyball preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday.  Concordia University was picked to finish 10th.

Doane College is picked to win the league title following a 27-8 record and a trip to the NAIA National Tournament in 2010.  Doane received 94 points and five first place votes in the poll.  Northwestern College, who went 36-2 overall and 16-0 in conference play last year, is picked to finish second with 91 points and four first place votes.  Hastings College earned the final two first place votes in the poll and is picked to finish fifth.   

Concordia went 11-21 overall with a 1-15 mark in conference play in 2010.  Concordia totaled 24 points in this year’s coaches’ poll.
