Trap and skeet places fourth at Fort Hays State Shoot

HAYS, Kan. – The second outing of the fall came at the Fort Hays State Shoot (Sept. 17-18) for head coach Joel Helmer’s Concordia trap and skeet team. Up against some of the top competition in collegiate shooting, the Bulldogs placed fourth with a team total of 1,837. Concordia again got standout individual efforts from freshman Wyatt Pursell (383) and sophomore Erin Lokke (373).

Pursell turned in Concordia’s top score in three of four categories: trap (99), double trap (94) and skeet (95). Lokke led the way in wobble (97). Among the 15 Bulldogs who traveled to Hays, Kan., four additional shooters scored 350 or better: Riley Meyer (365), Seth Willard (358), Dustin Renfro (358) and Lauren Webb (350).

The event also included representatives from NCAA Division I schools such as the University of Arkansas, Colorado State University, Wichita State University and the University of Wyoming.
