Schedule Release: 2026-27 Concordia Shooting Sports

2026-27 Concordia University, Nebraska Shooting Sports Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia University, Nebraska Shooting Sports has finalized a 2026-27 competition schedule featuring nine total events throughout the upcoming academic year. The ’26-27 campaign will mark the 13th season in the program’s history (and ninth season as an official varsity sport within the Concordia Athletics Department). The Bulldogs will launch the new season at the Fort Hays State Intercollegiate Shoot in late August.

Head Coach Dylan Owens is preparing to enter his fifth season leading the program. The 2025-26 team emerged with place finishes of fourth at the Prairie Circuit Conference Championships and seventh at the ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships (Division 2). Seniors Kaylee Hinton and Katie Welker won national titles within specific disciplines and Welker and Devin Harris were named All-Americans.

Owens will lead his team into five competitions during the upcoming fall semester: Fort Hays State Intercollegiate Shoot (Aug. 29-30), Midland Warrior Open (Sept. 19-20), Prairie Circuit Conference Championships (Sept. 25-27), Hastings Bronco Invite (Oct. 3-4) and Southeast Community College Bobcat Invitational (Oct. 23-24).

After a break, Concordia will resume the season during the spring semester with the University of Nebraska Cornhusker Invite (Feb. 20-21), Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational (Feb. 26-27), Iowa Western Community College Invite (March 6-7) and ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships (March 15-20). Once again, the national championships will be staged at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. The 2027 Concordia Sporting Invitational will be held for the 11th time in the event’s history and will take place at the home of the Bulldogs, Oak Creek Sporting Club in Brainard, Neb.
