2025-26 Concordia Shooting Sports Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The 2025-26 season is fast approaching for Concordia University, Nebraska Shooting Sports. On June 19, the program announced its slate for the upcoming campaign, which will feature seven events during the fall semester and another four shoots during the spring semester. The ’25-26 season is set to get underway on Sept. 6-7 at the Fort Hays State University Intercollegiate Shoot.
Head Coach Dylan Owens is entering his fourth season at the helm of the program. Last season, Owens’ squad emerged from the 2025 ACUI National Championships in San Antonio, Texas, with a seventh-place finish, one target out of sixth. The Bulldogs cracked 2,740 targets towards the high overall (HOA) team leaderboard. At nationals, Sam Blevins (men’s open trap) and Katie Welker (women’s open trap) came away with third-place claims. Of the seven events that took place prior to the national championships, Concordia placed fourth or better in seven of them. The Bulldogs claimed the team title at the Hastings Invitational back in October and placed second at the Southeast Community College Invitational later that month. They landed in third at the Prairie Circuit Conference Championships.
The 2025-26 season will feature many of the same events that were part of the 2024-25 schedule. The 2025 Prairie Circuit Conference Championships are set for Sept. 26-28 in Grand Island, Neb. The fall portion of the schedule will conclude with the Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2. The season will pack back up in the second semester with the 10th annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational (Feb. 27-28). All roads will eventually lead to the 2026 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-21.
