2022-23 Concordia Shooting Sports Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. – The 2022-23 schedule is set for first-year Head Coach Dylan Owens' program. Owens will make his official debut leading Concordia Shooting Sports in mid-September when the team will compete at the Fort Hays State Fall Intercollegiate Shoot in Hays, Kan. That event will mark the first of seven events during the fall and first of 11 for the 2022-23 campaign as a whole. As usual, the season will culminate at the national shoot in San Antonio, Texas.

Owens was officially introduced as head coach in April. He takes over for the late Scott Moniot, who led the Bulldogs to new heights over four seasons in the head role. This past season, Concordia placed second at the Prairie Circuit Conference Championships and went on to finish fifth in the Division 2 breakdown at the 2022 national championships.

On the docket this fall is the seventh annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational. This year’s event will run Oct. 1-2 at Oak Creek Sporting Club in Brainard, Neb. The seven events this fall will each take place in either Kansas or Nebraska. The Prairie Circuit Conference Championships are set for Sept. 23-25 when Concordia will attempt to dethrone last year’s team conference champion, Fort Hays State. The fall portion of the schedule will conclude with the NCSSAA North Central Qualifier on Nov. 4-6.

The Bulldogs will then take a break from competition before resuming action during the second semester with four more shoots. As a major highlight, Concordia will be in Las Vegas in mid-March for the NCSSAA National Championships, a precursor to the main event. The 2023 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships are set for March 21-22 at San Antonio’s National Shooting Complex.
