Lokke places second High Overall for Bulldogs

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The Concordia University Trap & Skeet team competed at the SCTP Central Region Open Championship at the Heartland Shooting Park in Grand Island last weekend. The team finished fourth overall while freshman Erin Lokke won the women’s sporting clays and received second High Overall for the Bulldogs.

The team finished fourth overall after competing in American Trap, American Skeet, Double Skeet, Sporting Clays and Wobble Trap.

Lokke’s scores of 75 in sporting clays, 89 in American Trap, 94 in American Skeet, 75 in Sporting Clays, 87 in Double Skeet and 86 in Wobble Trap equaled a 431/500 second place finish. The freshman’s finish earned her the first hardware that a Concordia shooter has won in the two years of the program’s history.

Seth Willard finished sixth overall after a personal best 96/100 in American Skeet and finished 19th High Overall. Ethan Cradick led the men’s team in American Trap with a score of 88/100. In Sporting Clay, Mitchell Charron finished with a 69/100.

Up next for the Bulldogs is the SCTP College National Championships Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio.
