Multi-event athletes shine over first two days of Dutcher Memorial; more to come Sunday

RESULTS: Dutcher Memorial | Red Raider Open

CRETE, Neb. – In a week that sets up abnormally, Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field athletes have been in action in Crete, Neb., and Orange City, Iowa, over the past two days (April 15-16). At the Jim Dutcher Memorial hosted by Doane, Hank Moore led the way for the Bulldog multi-event athletes by accumulating a point total that places him inside the top 10 of the national leaderboard in the decathlon. Addie Reimer and Kennedee Canales also produced solid results in the women’s heptathlon.

A summary of top performances from the Dutcher Memorial and the Red Raider Open are included below. As an additional highlight, both Concordia 4x800-meter relays came within striking distance of NAIA B standards. In addition, Emry Gutz came away as the Dutcher Memorial champion in the javelin. The Bulldogs were represented in the pole vault only at the Red Raider Open on Thursday.

Performance Highlights (April 15-16):

Decathlon
Hank Moore: placed second (6,373 points)
--Point total ranks top 10 nationally based on the NAIA performance list entering the day.

Heptathlon
Addie Reimer: placed third (4,186 points)
--Shattered PR in shot put (33’ 7 ½”).
Kennedee Canales: placed fourth (4,092 points)
--Personal best point total.

Men’s 5,000 Meters
Vaughn Hendrickson: placed second (15:28.86)
Aidan Limback: placed third (15:39.23)
Ransom Watts: placed fourth (15:47.40)

Women’s 5,000 Meters
Annika Staab: placed fifth (19:49.83)
Lydia Edmonds: placed sixth (20:16.66)

Women’s 10,000 Meters
