Entering the meet, head coach Matt Beisel’s squads own national rankings of 17th on the women’s side and 19th on the men’s side, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NAIA ratings index. According to the same formula, the NAIA’s top teams are Cumberlands (Ky.) on the men’s side and Marian (Ind.) on the men’s side.

A four-time NAIA All-American, Adrianna Rodencal enters the national meet hoping to achieve something special. She holds the NAIA’s No. 1 seed in the women’s 60-meter hurdles with her personal best of 8.26 (fourth fastest in NAIA history). The women’s qualifying roster also features three-time All-American Kayla Kirchner, who will join Rodencal, Adysen McCarter and Tayden Kirchner on the 4x400-meter relay. In the triple jump, McCarter is seeded fourth with her school record of 39’ 6.” One of the program’s first time qualifiers, freshman Makenna Starkey is seeded sixth in the high jump (5’ 7”). A year ago, the women’s program placed 20th at the NAIA indoor national meet.

On the men’s side, Jurchen will look to repeat as an indoor All-American in the 3,000-meter racewalk. He enters the national championships seeded third (12:11.05). Jurchen leads the NAIA’s top-rated racewalk event squad that includes qualifiers in Jack Habegger and Luke Hammang. Following the racewalk on day one of the national meet, Concordia’s 4x800-meter relay will take to the track. Hayden Kluthe (60 hurdles) is another of the team’s qualifiers on the track. In the field events, the Bulldogs will be represented in both throwing events and in the pole vault. Shot put and weight throw qualifier Nathan Baldwin earned All-America honors in the discus at the 2025 NAIA outdoor meet.

According to the USTFCCCA, the Bulldogs boast many event groupings that rank highly within the NAIA. Based on the coaches association’s event squad rankings, Concordia ranks top five nationally in the following events: men’s race walk (first), women’s pentathlon (second), men’s weight throw (third), men’s heptathlon (fourth), women’s high jump (fourth), men’s pole vault (fifth), women’s shot put (fifth) and women’s weight throw (fifth).

Both Bulldog programs have won an NAIA outdoor national championship in their history – 2015 for the men and 2016 for the women. During Beisel’s tenure, the Concordia track programs have earned a total of seven NAIA top-four team trophies with six coming on the women’s side and one on the men’s side. The men placed as the NAIA indoor national runner up in 2017 while the women have placed third four separate times (and fourth twice) since 2017.

The list of Bulldogs making their first-ever national championship appearance includes Hannah Beintema, Lucas Corwin, Josiah Edwards, Jack Habegger, Evan Hill, Jax Jacobson, Tayden Kirchner, Hayden Kluthe, Trenton Kumm, Keith Siek and Makenna Starkey. A qualifier in the racewalk, Beintema has previous experience on the national stage in cross country (2022 and 2023).

The NAIA will stream the national championships via the NAIA Network: https://naianetwork.com/.
