Due to a change in national qualifying standards, the ‘A’ marks have become more difficult to achieve this season. In addition to the auto marks from Ostermeyer and Wohlgemuth, junior Adrianna Rodencal ranks third nationally with her 60-meter hurdles school record time of 8.53. At last week’s Polar Dog, Rodencal won the 200 meters in a time of 25.82. Other event champions were the men’s 4x400-meter relay (3:31.26), Easton Fries in the 60 hurdles (8.20), Vaughn Hendrickson in the 5,000 meters (15:35.28), Jurchen in the race walk, Annaka Schlacter in the 5,000 meters (19:38.15) and Wohlgemuth in the weight throw. The men’s 4x4 was made up of Hayden Kluthe, Lucas Corwin, Teagan Meyer and Jackson Lindburg.

The Concordia Classic field includes GPAC rivals Briar Cliff, Doane, Dakota Wesleyan, Hastings, Midland and Mount Marty in a largescale meet. After welcoming athletes from Concordia University Ann Arbor to the Fieldhouse last week, the Bulldogs will greet competitors from Concordia University Irvine at the Concordia Classic. CUI is coached by Bulldog alum Keegan Bloomfield.

Following the Concordia Classic, the Bulldogs will shift focus to the Fred Beile Classic hosted by Doane on Feb. 1. Counting this week’s outing, Concordia has only three weekends of competition prior to the 2025 GPAC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb.14-15).
