At the Early Bird Meet in December, Bulldog athletes combined for four automatic national qualifying standards and three NAIA ‘B’ standards (see list below). While locking up her ticket to the national meet, sophomore Adysen McCarter broke the school record in the triple jump with a mark of 39’ 1” at the Early Bird. In addition, superstar Adrianna Rodencal eclipsed her own program standard in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.43. In the aftermath of the Early Bird, both McCarter and thrower Josiah Edwards were named GPAC Athletes of the Week. In the 3,000-meter racewalk, Jack Habegger and Jonny Jurchen have already sewed up spots in the national field.
Bulldogs with national qualifying standards:
· A – Jack Habegger: 3,000-meter racewalk (13:45.79)
· A – Jonny Jurchen: 3,000-meter racewalk (12:30.61)
· A – Adysen McCarter: triple jump (39’ 1”)

--NOTE: Adrianna Rodencal and Josi Noble enter the week ranked ninth and 11th, respectively, on the NAIA women’s pentathlon national list.
This will be a rare weekend away from the friendly confines of the Walz Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs are slated to host three additional home meets this indoor season: the Concordia Polar Dog Invite (Jan. 23), Concordia Classic (Jan. 30-31) and Concordia Indoor Invitational (Feb. 14). Leading up to the GPAC Championships, the Bulldogs’ only road trips will be to Crete and Lincoln.
