Through five weeks of indoor meets, Bulldog athletes have combined for four NAIA automatic national qualifying standards and eight NAIA ‘B’ national qualifying standards. Habegger improved upon his A standard at last week’s Concordia Classic. One fresh B standard was added to list courtesy of Nathan Baldwin in the weight throw.

A major highlight from the Concordia Classic was sophomore Hayden Kluthe’s school record breaking performance in the 60-meter hurdles. Kluthe clocked a finals time of 8.04, shattering the previous standard of 8.13 held by Easton Fries. Additionally, freshman Avery Eaves ran the fastest nonconverted 60-meter dash time in school history while crossing the finish line in 6.90 (prelims). Officially, David Palmer owns the 60-dash program standard of 6.83. As for Rodencal, her time of 8.43 in the 60 hurdles last week equaled her own Fieldhouse record. Concordia Classic event titles were won by Eaves (60 meters), Kluthe (60 hurdles), Rodencal (60 hurdles), Keith Siek (1,000 meters) and Thomas Thomas (unseeded weight throw).

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has now released two sets of national ratings this indoor season. In the NAIA ratings announced on Tuesday (Feb. 3), the Bulldogs landed at No. 13 on the men's side and at No. 16 on the women's side. The ratings are calculated based on the individual national performance lists. For a look at the USTFCCCA ratings, click HERE.

Concordia has hosted three indoor meets this season: the Bulldog Early Bird (Dec. 12-13), Concordia Polar Dog Invite (Jan. 23) and Concordia Classic (Jan. 30-31). One final home meet will be held on Feb. 14 when the Concordia Indoor Invitational unfolds. The 2026 GPAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by Dordt later this month.
