SEWARD, Neb. – For the second time since the middle of January, sophomore Kylahn Heritage has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday (Feb. 3). Heritage was rewarded with the same honor on Jan. 20 and picked up a GPAC Cross Country Runner of the Week award in the fall. The NAIA second-ranked Concordia University Women’s Track & Field team has raked in four GPAC weekly awards in 2021.

As a competitor in last week’s Fred Beile Classic, Heritage earned wins in the 3,000 meters and as part of the Bulldog distance medley relay. In her portion of the DMR, Heritage ran the final leg of 1,600 meters in 5:22.19 in leading the group to an NAIA best time of 12:32.60 (converted to 12:24.63). Heritage completed the 3,000 meters in 10:59.88, which ranks No. 7 on the GPAC performance list. A native of Nampa, Idaho, Heritage is the defending GPAC champion in the 3,000.

Heritage and company will return to action this Friday when the Bulldogs host the Concordia Classic inside the Walz Fieldhouse. The tentative meet schedule can be viewed HERE.
