
2025 Men’s Tennis GPAC All-Conference Teams
SEWARD, Neb. – Six Bulldogs make the final cut for the 2024-25 GPAC All-Conference honors on Wednesday (April 30). Announced by the league office, junior Nick Velders was named Men’s GPAC Co-Player of the Year with two others in the conference. Also awarded were junior Hugo Fuentes Gomez and freshman Ben Chisholm on the conference awards for singles and doubles. Junior Santiago Abadia was honored with All-GPAC doubles, plus Grady Works (HM singles) and Manuel Rodriguez with honorable mention doubles.
2025 All-GPAC
· Santiago Abadia (Bogotá, Colombia): HM Singles / Doubles

· Ben Chisholm (Adelaide, Australia): Singles / Doubles
o 2025 GPAC records: 4-2 singles | 5-1 doubles.
· Hugo Fuentes (Denia, Spain): Singles / Doubles
o 2025 GPAC records: 3-3 singles | 4-2 doubles.
· Manuel Rodriguez (Jerez de la Frontera, Spain): HM Doubles
o 2025 GPAC records: 0-2 singles | 3-3 doubles.
· Nick Velders (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands): Singles / Doubles
o 2025 GPAC records: 5-1 singles | 4-2 doubles.
· Grady Works (Lincoln, Neb.): HM Singles / HM Doubles
o 2025 GPAC records: 5-1 singles | 3-3 doubles.
Fuentes and Velders tag-teamed for a 13-7 record (4-2 GPAC) as two-time All-GPAC Fuentes won nine matches this season in the No. 1 slot. Velders, an Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, native broke the single-season singles record and set a new standard with a 19-2 overall showing (5-1 GPAC).
Chisholm, in his first season, went 13-8 (4-2 GPAC) primarily in the No. 3 spot. He and Abadia made a high-performance duo with a team-leading 15-4 record together. Two-time All-Conference Abadia broke the single-season doubles wins record (16) and went 10-8 in singles (3-2 GPAC).
Seniors Works and Rodriguez won just above .500 (6-5) as a pair and split in league play (3-3). Works went 12-5 overall in singles and came on strong late with a 5-1 GPAC performance.
Head Coach Lisa Hart’s squad finished the 2024-25 season at 14-8 overall (4-2 GPAC). The Bulldogs advanced to the GPAC finals but fell to Morningside in the Championship.
