SEWARD, Neb. – Daniel Caballeros put on a show in the past two matches, which earned him his first GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor as announced by the league office on Tuesday (March 31). Caballeros went unbeaten in singles and doubles, rolling in an individual play four-match win streak. He joins Nick Velders (March 4, March 25) as players from Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Tennis to win the award this season.

The Guatemalan native helped the Bulldogs go 1-1 to defeat Hastings (7-0) and won his matches against No. 14 Morningside (2-5). Caballeros at No. 3, handed out losses in singles winning in straight sets versus the Broncos (6-4, 6-4), and defeated the Mustangs’ ITA-ranked No. 24 Mathys Arnold (1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-4) in an all-out battle.

In doubles, a change was made to move Caballeros and Leo Lopez to No. 1 in paired play. The two went 2-0 this week and have won four out of five as a duo. The Union Commonwealth transfer has a 13-3 record in singles as a Bulldog.

Concordia will face Midland on Friday (April 10) in Seward at the Bulldog Tennis Courts.
