Concordia’s Clarissa Eloge and Nicole Sempek earned GPAC Player and Pitcher-of-the-Week honors on Wednesday for the week of March 27-April 3. The Bulldogs went 4-0 on the week.
Eloge (Rising City, Neb.) hit .467 (7-of-15) with two doubles and four RBI’s in the four wins over Midland University and Dakota Wesleyan. So far this season, Eloge leads the team with a .488 average. She also leads Concordia in doubles (9), RBI’s (18), on-base percentage (.564) and stolen bases (8).
Sempek (Columbus, Neb.) went 2-0 and totaled 20 strikeouts on the week. She allowed just one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts in Concordia’s 8-1 win over Midland University on March 31. Sempek is 10-3 so far this season with a 2.92 ERA. She has 11 complete games and 93 strikeouts in 86.1 innings of work.
Concordia is 18-10 overall and 7-3 in conference play. The Bulldogs travel to Hastings College on April 12.
