SEWARD, Neb. – Sean Stratman was announced by the league office as the recipient of the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 29). During the past week, he helped the Bulldogs to two wins and a shutout. Stratman was selected for the award for the first time in his career. He joins Florian Quast (Sept. 22) as the award winners in 2026.
Concordia University, Nebraska remains the only undefeated team (3-0) left in conference competition.
The Omaha, Neb., native played all 180 minutes as the team surrendered only one goal in the two games. In the two games, the Bulldogs defeated Doane (2-1) in comeback fashion and blanked Morningside (3-0). Stratman and the defense allowed only six shots on target in the contests.
A Creighton Preparatory School alum, Stratman has played 782 minutes (team high) of a possible 810 this season. He scored on a penalty kick against York University earlier in the year, the second of his career.
Concordia will travel to Briar Cliff on Saturday for its next contest.
