GPAC preseason men's soccer poll released

Concordia University is picked to finish 11th in the GPAC men’s soccer preseason coaches’ poll which was released on Wednesday. 

Hastings College is the favorite for the 2010 men’s soccer season.  The Broncos earned 121 points and 11 of the 12 possible first place votes in the poll.  Sioux Falls was picked second with 103 points and the final first place vote, and Morningside College is third with 99 points. 

Doane College is fourth with 99 points, while Midland Lutheran (87) and Briar Cliff (70) are fifth and sixth, respectively.  Dordt College (60) is seventh, while Nebraska Wesleyan (50), Northwestern College (43) and Mount Marty College (26) round out the top 10.  Concordia is 11th with 23 points, and Dakota Wesleyan is 12th with 21 points. 

Concordia was 4-13-1 overall and 2-9-1 in the GPAC in 2009.  The Bulldogs open the 2010 season at William Penn University on August 27.
