Dawgs tied for second in top cluster of GPAC coaches’ poll

2025 GPAC Preseason Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll

SEWARD, Neb. – The Bulldogs were selected to tie for second place by the GPAC as announced by the league office on Thursday (Aug.13). A cluster at the top of the poll defines the selections with Concordia (one first place vote) and Hastings tied with 84 points. The Bulldogs were just behind Morningside (87 points) and Midland (77) rounds out the only four with first place votes.

The veteran Head Coach Jason Weides brings back three of his eight All-GPAC selections from 2024 including Nolan Fuelberth, Sean Stratman and Mike Wyvill. The Bulldogs will have five of 11 starters and have brought in 17 newcomers to help reload the talented roster. Concordia took second in the regular season and the GPAC tournament a season ago.

Heading into his 18 campaign, Weides has 171 total wins as the front man and has won two conference tournament championships and two national tournament appearances (2015, 2022). The Bulldogs will look to clinch the elusive top spot for the regular season, starting their slate on Aug. 23.
