Bulldogs open season with tie at William Penn

Concordia University and William Penn University played to a 0-0 men’s soccer tie on Friday evening.  It was the opening game of the year for both squads. 

William Penn held an 18-12 advantage in shots and an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks in the contest.  Kolt O’Kelly totaled four shots with two shots on goal for Concordia.  Nathan Douglas and Ian Euler added two shots apiece for the Bulldogs.  Tyler Mather had four shots with two shots on goal for William Penn. 

Concordia’s Chris Podlich made seven saves on the evening, while Tadeo Cavazos made five saves in goal for William Penn. 

Concordia travels to Iowa Wesleyan for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday.
