Bulldogs move to 3-1 on the year with win over Ottawa University

A pair of goals in the second half lifted the Concordia University men’s soccer team to a 3-1 win over Ottawa University on Saturday at the Midland University tournament.  The Bulldogs improved to 3-1 on the year with the victory.

Ian Euler (Lincoln, Neb.) scored the opening goal of the game to put the Bulldogs on top.  A goal by Ottawa’s Paul Oswald tied the score at 1-1, and the score remained the same heading into halftime.

Early in the second half, Todd May (Brighton, England) scored to put the Bulldogs back on top by the score of 2-1.  Euler picked up the assist.  With just over 10 minutes remaining in the contest, Kolt O’Kelly (Littleton, Colo.) scored a penalty kick goal for the final score of 3-1.

The Bulldogs finished with 11 shots in the match.  Chris Podlich made three saves to pick up the win in goal.

Concordia faces #11 Bethel University (Tenn.) at 1 p.m. on Sunday to conclude play in the Midland Tournament.
