FREMONT, Neb. – Freshman Calvin Zabloudil shot even par on Monday and has put himself in the running for a tournament championship with the first of two rounds complete at the 2025 Nebraska Intercollegiate (Oct. 6-7). As a team, Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Golf stands in fifth place amongst the eight Nebraska collegiate squads in the field. The event is hosted by the Nebraska Golf Association and is being staged this week at Fremont Golf Club in Fremont, Neb.

Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad shot a team round of 303 on a rainy and chilly fall Monday. The top four on the team leaderboard are Midland (288), Southeast Community College (292), Doane (298) and Hastings (302). The field includes 40 individuals.

An Omaha native, Zabloudil carded an eagle on hole 8 and birdied 9, 13 and 15 in the process of shooting a 71 in round one. Zabloudil sits one stroke behind the tournament co-leaders from Midland, Trevin Cunningham and Brady Davis, who both shot 70s on Monday. The 71 is also one stroke shy of Zabloudil’s career best of 70 that he shot in the third round of the Blue River Classic.

The three additional scores that counted towards Concordia’s team score were turned in by senior Jake Richmond (77) and freshmen Logan Krabbenhoft (77) and Tyler Weismann (78). Junior Jude Elgert rounded out the lineup by shooting an 80. Both Richmond and Krabbenhoft are situated within the top half of the individual leaderboard.

The event is the first varsity tournament for the Bulldogs since the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Sept. 22-23. Concordia’s average team score entering the Nebraska Intercollegiate was 316.6.
