NORFOLK, Neb. – State bragging rights are on the line this weekend as men’s golf teams from nine Nebraska institutions have descended upon Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb., for the Nebraska Intercollegiate (Oct. 8-9). The Concordia University Men’s Golf ‘A’ team shot a 308 on Friday and resides in ninth place (out of 14 total groupings of five). The Bulldogs traveled 10 golfers to the tournament.

The Nebraska Intercollegiate will wrap up the fall season for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. In the first round of the event, five Concordia golfers shot scores in the 70s (scores shown below). The tournament features 73 individual competitors.

The Nebraska Intercollegiate has grown this season after having included eight team groupings and 45 individual golfers. The 308 carded by the Bulldogs on Friday is an improvement from the team’s results at the 2020 Nebraska Intercollegiate when it shot 313-329–642.

Jack Williams carded the team’s low round on Friday with a two-over-par 74. That score tied Williams’ season best turned in at the Siouxland Invite. Other Concordia golfers to shoot in the 70s were Jacob Woodmancy (76), Ivan Yabut (76), Gavin McWhorter (77) and Drew D’Ercole (78).
