SEWARD, Neb. – The 11th annual Blue River Classic is up next for Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Golf. The program will co-host the tournament on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 9-10) along with Doane. The format will feature 54 holes (three rounds) over two days at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb., where 11 institutions will be represented. In addition to Concordia and Doane, the field will include GPAC programs in Briar Cliff, Midland, Morningside and Mount Marty, in addition to Nebraska Wesleyan University, York University and three junior colleges. Eighty-eight individual players have been entered into the field.

Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad opened the 2026-27 season at the Mount Marty Invite held in Yankton, S.D., Aug. 31-Sept. 1. The Bulldog ‘A’ team shot 301-314–615 (+39) and placed fifth out of 14 total groupings. Individually, sophomore Calvin Zabloudil starred as he tied for third while shooting 70-75–145. He ended round one with four straight birdies. The A lineup also featured a pair of top-20 finishers in senior Jude Elgert (76-79–155) and sophomore Tyler Weismann, both of whom shot identical scores and tied for 20th. The grouping was rounded out by freshman Wyatt Groves (79-81–160; T-41st) and sophomore Michael Koenig (98-84–182; 70th).
There will be 16 Bulldogs in action at the 2026 Blue River Classic. At last year’s tournament, Concordia’s A team placed 10th out of 16 groupings. The Bulldogs shot 310-307-303–920 and were led by Zabloudil, who was then a freshman. He tied for 22nd and shot 78-75-70–223. He was joined in the tournament field by 14 teammates. Southeast Community College emerged as the ’25 Blue River team champion. Individually, Southeast’s Hayden Delaloye claimed the title while shooting par or better in all three rounds.
After wrapping up the Blue River Classic, the Bulldogs will shift focus to the Siouxland Invite on Sept. 14-15. That event will be played in both Sioux Center, Iowa, and Orange City, Iowa, and will be co-hosted by Dordt and Northwestern. Five total varsity events make up Concordia’s fall schedule.
