His three-under-par 68 on the first day of the tournament equaled a career low for 18 holes. The rest of the team’s top five featured Justin Webert (71-78-75–224), Jake Richmond (75-79-74–228), Jake Hagerbaumer (78-73-79–230) and Gavin Buttshaw (78-73-79–230). The program is coming off a 2022-23 season in which it set a school record for 18-hole scoring average of 300.3.

At the 2022 Blue River Classic, Concordia’s ‘A’ team placed fifth (out of 12 groupings) with a three-round score of 296-290-288–874. Iowa Western Community College emerged as the team champion while Jason Kolbas (Iowa Western) captured the individual title. For the Bulldogs, Jacob Woodmancy put together a fine tournament in shooting 68-71-71–210. He placed fifth in a tournament field that included 77 individuals.

Following the Blue River Classic, Concordia will have four tournaments (including one JV event) remaining on the fall 2023 schedule. Next up will be the Siouxland Invite slated for Sept. 11-12.
