DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – The hole that was dug on Monday was too deep for Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Golf to dig out of. The Bulldogs settled in at 11th place in the final 2026 GPAC standings, which were decided over three rounds played Monday-Tuesday (April 20-21) at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D. Six Bulldogs competed at the 2026 GPAC Championships, including seniors Jake Richmond and Brock Rogers.

Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad shot 325-324-322–971 (+107) overall at the conference tournament. Despite warm conditions, Concordia never found a groove in Dakota Dunes.

“It’s not how we wanted to end the season,” Muller said. “We definitely thought we were a better team than the final standings this year. Unfortunately, that’s what we have to live with. We didn’t play our best golf in this tournament. Dakota Dunes is a fantastic facility and a very tough golf course. We had way too many big numbers the last two days. That really hurt us.”

Freshman Calvin Zabloudil put together a consistent three rounds as he led the Bulldogs at the conference tournament by shooting 78-79-77–234. He tied for 25th place out of more than 60 golfers in the field. Three teammates also qualified for the overall leaderboard (by playing all three rounds): senior Jake Richmond (81-82-77–240; T-36th), junior Jude Elgert (83-79-83–245) and freshman Logan Krabbenhoft (83-84-85–252; 48th). Senior Brock Rogers posted scores of 87 in round one and 85 in round three while freshman Tyler Weismann carded an 86 in round two.

The GPAC Championships marked the end of the collegiate careers of Richmond and Rogers. Richmond placed 23rd at the conference tournament as a junior and garnered Honorable Mention All-GPAC accolades. Both Richmond and Rogers were four-year contributors to the men’s golf program.

Said Muller, “Both Jake and Brock finished their collegiate careers today. It’s been great to have those guys in our program. They are two standup guys who do the right things. Probably the highlight of their career was setting the 18-hole school record earlier this spring. That will be a great memory for those guys along with the team bonding on road trips and competing in tournaments with the guys.”
