Concordia sophomore Shawn Rodehorst has been recognized as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Rodehorst carded his lowest round as a Bulldog as he turned in a one-over-par 73 at the Hastings Spring Invite on March 29. That score allowed the Kearney, Neb., native to take third-place hardware at the event.
Rodehorst led Concordia with a 77.25 average in eight rounds of golf during the fall season. His previous low score came on day two of the Doane Fall Invite when he shot a 74 on Sept. 18. He currently sits in 30th in the GPAC after the two fall conference qualifier meets with a combined score of 82-78–160.
Concordia’s top golfer will look to improve his GPAC standing when the Bulldogs take part in the third GPAC qualifier on April 8 in Lincoln, Neb.
