Rodehorst officially named all-GPAC

GPAC Release

Concordia sophomore Shawn Rodehorst soared to all-conference honors by climbing into the top 10 on the GPAC individual leaderboard following the conclusion of the four conference qualifier events. On Tuesday the Kearney, Neb., native was officially named all-GPAC by the league.

Rodehorst began the spring season in a tie for 30th in the GPAC standings after shooting 82-78–160 at the two fall qualifiers. He then shot a one-over-par 72 in the spring’s first qualifier to vault up to 13th, putting him within striking distance of all-conference. Rodehorst completed his incredible spring by shooting a one-under-par 70 to finish eighth in the GPAC with his four-round 82-78-72-70–302.

On the strength of his performances this spring, Rodehorst broke the school record for the lowest season average at 75.2 in 13 rounds during the 2012-13 campaign. After shooting an average of 77.25 in the fall, the Kearney, Neb., native improved to 71.8 in five rounds this spring.

Rodehorst also became the first Bulldog ever to win the Blue River Invite (April 12-13) hosted in both Crete and Seward. His two-round total of 71-73 – 144 in the Blue River Invite set a school record for the lowest two-round score in a single event in program history.
