SEWARD, Neb. – Roughly three months after graduating from Concordia University, Nebraska, Jake Richmond has been honored as a 2025-26 NAIA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Richmond spent the past four seasons in the varsity lineup for Head Coach Brett Muller’s Bulldog Men’s Golf program. Richmond earned his degree in Business Administration.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate’s degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NAIA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
An Elkhorn, Neb., native, Richmond paced the 2025-26 Concordia Men’s Golf team with a season scoring average of 77.4 over 22 rounds. He concluded his collegiate career by placing in a tie for 36th at the 2026 GPAC Championships. As a Bulldog, Richmond posted an average of 77.0 over 80 rounds. He earned Honorable Mention All-GPAC honors for the 2024-25 campaign. During his junior season, Richmond placed within the top 10 of three tournaments, including a third-place claim at the Doane Spring Invite. This past spring, Richmond shot a three-under-par 67 on the second day of the Doane Invite while contributing to a program record 18-hole score of -2 (278).
