2020 Men’s Golf Fall Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University men’s golf program saw nearly its entire spring 2020 schedule wiped out as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Bulldogs hope to return to the links this September. Head Coach Brett Muller’s program has announced a 2020 fall slate features five tournaments covering 10 calendar dates. The slate begins Sept. 8-9 with the Blue River Classic.

Concordia had originally hoped to open the campaign at the Mount Marty Invite (Aug. 31-Sept. 1). However, the GPAC and NAIA mandated that no official competitions can be held prior to Sept. 5. The annual Blue River Classic is co-hosted by Concordia and Doane. Day two of the event will be at the home course of the Bulldogs, Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln.

The season will continue with the Siouxland Invite (Sept. 14-15), the Ottawa University Fall Invite (Sept. 21-22), the GPAC Championships (Sept. 28-29) and the Nebraska Intercollegiate (Oct. 9-10). The fall portion of the conference championships will be hosted by Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Neb.

Led by then senior Tylar Samek, Concordia placed seventh (336-329–665) in the GPAC last season. In terms of scoring average, sophomore-to-be Drew D’Ercole will be the team’s top returner. He finished the season strong this past spring by shooting a three-day 74-73-74–221 at the Embry-Riddle Spring Invite.
