D’Ercole named to 2023 NAIA PING Central All-Region Team

SEWARD, Neb. – Recently named a First Team All-GPAC honoree, Drew D’Ercole pulled in another postseason award on Wednesday (May 17). As announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), D’Ercole has been recognized as a 2023 NAIA PING Central All-Region Team award winner. D’Ercole was one of 15 golfers placed on the central region honor roll. D’Ercole is believed to be the first student-athlete in Concordia University Men’s Golf history to earn this accolade.

A Papillion, Neb., native, D’Ercole has been a steadying force at the top of the lineup throughout his four-year Concordia career. During the 2022-23 season, D’Ercole carded a team low average score of 74.2 over 21 rounds and placed in a tie for 16th in the GPAC. His top performances of the year included a fourth-place finish at the Midwest Spring National Invite and a fifth-place claim at the Nebraska Intercollegiate. He was named the GPAC Golfer of the Week on April 19. Over the course of his career, D’Ercole has recorded seven top-10 tournament placements and four top-five tournament finishes. D’Ercole won an individual championship at the 2021 Doane Spring Invite. He owns a career scoring average of 76.3 in 67 rounds. A three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete, D’Ercole was twice named Honorable Mention All-GPAC before being chosen to the first team in 2023.

D'Ercole was one of six GPAC golfers represented on the all-region team. The others were Doane’s Blake Andersen, Morningside’s Braden Bernaldo, Northwestern’s Jackson Laven and Brock Murphy and Jamestown’s Jackson Worner.
