Concordia edged by Doane in annual Bulldog-Tiger Cup

YORK, Neb. – In the annual rivalry matchup between Concordia University Men’s Golf and Doane, the Tigers got the upper hand on Saturday (March 19) at York Country Club in York, Neb. Doane took the Bulldog-Tiger Cup, 15.5 to 14.5, in a unique event that features both singles and doubles matches. The two sides were tied, 8-8, going into the 14 singles matches that were contested. This marked the second outing of the spring for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad, which also traveled to Vegas over spring break and played in the Winona State Warrior Invitational. Five more events are coming up yet this spring.

Next on the docket will be the Doane University Invite this coming Thursday and Friday (March 25-26). The event will be staged at Woodland Hills Golf Course in Eagle, Neb., on day one before shifting to College Heights Golf Course in Crete, Neb., for day two.
