SEWARD, Neb. – The string of All-America awards continues for the Concordia University, Nebraska Football program. On Thursday (Dec. 11), the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) named Bulldog senior nose guard Carson Fehlhafer an NAIA First Team All-American. Concordia has placed at least one player on the AFCA’s All-America honor roll for the 11th straight season. Fehlhafer is a first time All-American.
The first team award is a sign of the respect earned by Fehlhafer, who missed the season’s final four games after suffering an injury. Fehlhafer ranked amongst the national leaders in tackles for loss and sacks (and led the GPAC in both categories) at the time the injury occurred. In six games in 2025, the Utica, Neb., native totaled 31 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and three blocked kicks. A two-time First Team All-GPAC award winner, Fehlhafer’s four-year career totals include 116 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks and four blocked kicks. Fehlhafer earned an NAIA National Player of the Week award in both 2024 and 2025. Fehlhafer is also an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-District award winner in the sports of football and track & field. He is studying Business Administration.
During Head Coach Patrick Daberkow’s nine-year tenure, the program’s AFCA All-Americans have included Tarence Roby (2017), Lane Napier (2018-2021), Garrett Schardt (2021), Korrell Koehlmoos (2022), Austin Jablonski (2023, 2024), Blake Schlegel (2024) and Fehlhafer (2025). Fehlhafer is the program’s first All-American defensive lineman since Trey Barnes in 2016.
