HIGHLIGHT: Jett Farwell 79-yard pick-six

SEWARD, Neb. – Sophomore Jett Farwell made the game-defining play in the Concordia University, Nebraska Football team’s 24-21 win over Dakota Wesleyan. On Monday (Oct. 12), Farwell was named the GPAC Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player of the Week. He is the fourth different Concordia player to earn a conference player of the week award in 2026.

The Pawnee City, Neb., native Farwell provided the Bulldogs a boost in the third quarter last week when he corralled an errant pass from the Tiger quarterback and then raced 79 yards to the end zone for a pick-six. Farwell’s first career touchdown gave Concordia a 21-14 lead at the 10:16 mark of the third quarter. The Pawnee City High School product also added three tackles while helping limit the DWU passing attack to 149 yards and 37.0 percent completion rate (10-for-27). On the season, Farwell has totaled 37 tackles, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception. He is in his first season as a starter at corner. Farwell is a Pre-Pharmacy major.

Concordia (3-3, 3-3 GPAC) will have a bye this week before returning to action at No. 7 Morningside on Saturday, Oct. 24.
