Bulldogs travel to Midland in search of fifth win of season

Concordia University will look to bounce back on Saturday with a road contest at Midland University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Memorial Field in Fremont.

Both teams enter the weekend needing a win.  The Bulldogs have lost two straight and enter the weekend off a disappointing 10-7 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan last Saturday.  Concordia’s only touchdown came on an interception return by Heath Broekemeier in the first quarter, and Wesleyan kicked the game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter.  Concordia is 4-4 overall and 3-3 in GPAC play entering the weekend.

Midland University, who started the season on a roll, has now lost four straight.  The Warriors opened the year with wins over Dakota State (47-20), Nebraska Wesleyan (49-25) and Dordt College (37-14).  It’s been a struggle for the Warriors since, however, with losses to Morningside College (28-27), Doane College (43-39), Northwestern College (51-14) and Hastings College (17-0).
