Bulldogs set to battle Dordt College on Saturday

Concordia University travels to Sioux Center, Iowa, on Saturday for a GPAC football matchup against the Dordt College Defenders.  Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Sioux Center.

The Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season last week with a 10-0 shutout of Hastings College.  The Concordia defense limited the visiting Broncos to just 137 yards of total offense.  Concordia is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in GPAC play so far this season.  The Bulldogs are still looking for offensive consistency with just 27 points scored so far this year.  Concordia will look to exploit a Dordt College defense that has allowed around 200 rushing yards per game so far this year.

Dordt is 1-2 on the year and 0-2 in GPAC play.  The Defenders opened the 2011 season with a 14-0 win over Waldorf College.  Since then, however, it has been a struggle, as Dordt dropped back-to-back games to open conference play.  Hastings College picked up a 28-14 win over the Defenders on September 10, while Midland University cruised to a 37-14 win over Dordt last weekend.

Fans unable to make the trip to Sioux Center can catch a live audio and video webcast of the game at the link below.
