The Bulldog dance team placed third in their first competitions of 2019, which took place at the Doane Invite on Jan. 19. The meet included GPAC opposition in Doane and Hastings.
Head coach Mandi Maser's dance program landed four student-athletes on the NAIA's list of 2018 Scholar-Athletes. The Bulldog honorees include two seniors and six juniors.
The competition season ended on Friday (Feb. 23) for the Concordia dance squad placed ninth at the NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Northwest Qualifier hosted by Morningside.

The Concordia University cheer and dance teams were in action on Feb. 3 in conjunction with the Bulldog basketball games. Bulldog dance defeated Northwestern by a score of 77 to 72.5.
The first-ever Concordia Invitational Tournament cheer and dance competitions took place during the annual basketball event on Jan. 27. Bulldog dance received a score of 63.3 and finished fourth.
The Concordia dance team opened up its competition season by rebounding from a 78-75.5 loss to Doane with a 74.5-57 win over Dordt in action on Saturday (Jan. 20) in both the PE Center Gym and Walz Arena.
A group of seven Bulldogs from head coach Mandi Maser’s dance and cheer squads were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on March 10. The list includes a pair of two-time honorees: Angelica Blomenberg and Katherine Vogel.
With a total score of 56.42, the Concordia University dance team placed seventh among the 10 teams at the NAIA Northwest Dance Regional hosted by Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., on Friday.
While competing at the first ever Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer and Dance Championships, the Concordia University dance team finished seventh. The event took place at Hastings College on Feb. 11.
