SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – A week after claiming two dual victories while hosting a largescale event, the Concordia University Competitive Dance team returned to action alongside eight other teams at Saturday (Feb. 17)’s Dordt Invite. The Bulldogs earned a score of 81.4 and placed third in what marked the fifth event of the 2024 competition season.

Head Coach Mandi Maser’s squad also placed fifth out of 14 teams at the York Invite just over a week ago.

“We are really coming into our own and the hard work the dancers are putting into practice is paying off,” Maser said. “We made some adjustments and performed with a lot of confidence. Today was a fun competition in a great environment. Next up is the GPAC/Regionals, and we are excited for it!”

The score of 81.4 in Sioux Center, Iowa, rivaled the season high 82.0 Concordia logged in a home triangular back on Jan. 20. The Bulldogs have turned in scores above 80.0 in four of their five routines this season. The competition roster included the seven Concordia athletes listed below, including seniors Avery Lewis and Maddie Wittstruck.
