2020 Cross Country Schedule | PDF
SEWARD, Neb. – The 2020 Concordia University cross country schedule has been announced as of Wednesday (April 1). The combination of meets is largely the same as the one the Bulldogs navigated during their 2019 journey. As a prelude to the official start of the new campaign, head coach Matt Beisel’s squad will hold its annual Blue/White Alumni Run on Aug. 29.
The 2020 season will mark Beisel’s fifth as head coach at Concordia. He was named the 2019 GPAC Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year of guiding the women’s program to its first conference championship since 2005. The Bulldogs went on to place 12th at the NAIA National Championships. Meanwhile, the men finished fifth in the GPAC last season. Concordia will return four All-GPAC honorees from 2019: Sydney Clark, Alyssa Fye, Kylahn Heritage and Wyatt Lehr.
Concordia will compete in five official regular-season meets (prior to the GPAC Championships). Four of the five meets will be repeats from the 2019 campaign: the Augustana Twilight (Sept. 4), the Hastings Bronco Stampede (Sept. 12), the Dean White Invite (Sept. 26) and the Mount Marty Invite (Oct. 24). New to this year’s schedule is the Dordt University Holiday Inn Express (Oct. 10).
The GPAC Championships will be hosted by Mount Marty at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D., on Nov. 7. The NAIA National Championships are set to be staged at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Nov. 20.
