Morrissey and Sievert lead the way at the Roy Griak Invite

The Concordia University cross country teams traveled to Minnesota for the Roy Griak Invite on Saturday.  The Bulldog men finished ninth, while the women were 16th.  Both teams competed in the maroon division.  A total of 27 teams took part in the men’s race, and 22 teams competed on the women’s side.  

A pair of Bulldogs finished in the top 25 on the men’s side.  Colin Morrissey (Omaha, Neb.) led the way in 12th place with a time of 25:51.  Freshman Ben Sievert (Frankenmuth, Mich.) came in 23rd with a time of 26:19.  

Two runners finished in the top 50 overall for the Concordia women.  Jena Schwalenberg (Columbus, Neb.) was 41st at 23:49.1, while Martha Meineke (Denver, Colo.) was right behind in 42nd with a time of 23:50.3.
