Cheer finishes season at GPAC Invite, places third

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Concordia cheer team competed at the GPAC Invite Saturday morning. The squad finished third in the non-stunt cheer category with a 72.93 score. The competition was held in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center on Morningside College’s campus.

Head coach Heather Duff said, “The cheer team bumped themselves up in their GPAC ranking and we’re so proud of how they ended their season. It was great to see how good the girls felt after their performances.”

In total, there was four non-stunt teams at the event. Just 4.87 points separated first and fourth in the tight competition. Earlier this season, the Bulldogs dropped a dual to Hastings which took first place in the competition Saturday.

The GPAC Invite was the last competition for the Concordia cheer team this year.
