Wilson snares GPAC Defensive Player of the Week award

SEWARD, Neb. – A newcomer to the starting lineup in 2025-26, Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Basketball senior Logan Wilson has been honored by the GPAC. On Tuesday (Dec. 2), the league office named Wilson the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player of the Week. As a team, the Bulldogs have earned three weekly awards this season with the other two going to junior Brooks Kissinger.

Wilson has been recognized based on his performance in the 84-75 win at Mount Marty on Nov. 25. In that contest, the Omaha Westside High School product snared a career-high 15 rebounds, including 12 on the defensive end. Wilson also swiped two steals and totaled four points and three assists in 27 minutes. Wilson and his teammates limited the Lancers to 44.6 percent shooting while pushing Concordia’s win streak to five.

While starting all eight games this season, Wilson is averaging 7.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 blocks per game. He is shooting 42.6 percent from the field.

The 24th-ranked Bulldogs (6-2, 3-0 GPAC) will play twice at home this week as they prepare to host Doane at 7:45 p.m. CT on Wednesday and Dakota Wesleyan at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
