2025-26 CSC Men’s Basketball Academic All-Americans

SEWARD, Neb. – A breakout performer as a junior, Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Basketball standout Brooks Kissinger has been honored for excellence in the classroom and on the court. On Tuesday (April 14), College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Kissinger as a 2025-26 NAIA Academic All-America First Team award winner. Only 10 men’s basketball student-athletes from the entire NAIA earned Academic All-America recognition.

Head Coach Ben Limback’s program continues its string of Academic All-Americans. Past Bulldogs from the program to earn such distinction include Chandler Folkerts (2015, 2016, 2017), Carter Kent (2021, 2022), Gage Smith (2023), Noah Schutte (2025) and Tristan Smith (2025).

The 2025-26 Academic All-America® Men’s Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. Nominees also had to meet specific requirements in terms of games played and games started during the 2025-26 season. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

An Ashland, Neb., native and Ashland-Greenwood High School product, Kissinger rose to superstar status in 2025-26 while putting together a season worthy of All-America consideration. Kissinger’s honors for this past season have included distinction as First Team All-GPAC, NABC All-Midwest Region, Academic All-District (CSC), NAIA Scholar-Athlete and four-time GPAC Player of the Week. In 30 games, Kissinger averaged 22.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steal per game. He shot 59.0 percent from the field. Kissinger hit the 20-point mark 21 times with a high of 33 coming twice. He posted a triple-double (33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists) versus Morningside on Feb. 7.

As part of the GPAC semifinal win at No. 21 Morningside on Feb. 28, Kissinger became the 39th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. In 95 career games as a Bulldog, Kissinger has tallied 1,027 points, 326 rebounds, 165 assists and 53 steals. His 663 points in 2025-26 are the fourth most in a single season by a Concordia player.
